Turquoise cottage from the Orient needs almost no introduction, established in 1997 with TC, the pub, adding flavour in 1999.

Turquoise cottage has been lauded umpteen times be it the Award for best music in Pubs & Restaurants in 2004, being on the list of Cosmopolitans top 50 restaurants in 2005, and being listed by both the Hindustan Times and the New York times as one of the countries best destinations in 2006. The list is endless and till 2007 it was a much sought after destination for all age groups.

Turquoise Cottage has now taken up residence in the up market Basant Lok Complex in Vasant Vihar.

Touted as Turquoise Cottage Reloaded, it brings the same experience of the years and still adds more flavor and more funk for its regulars as well as first time visitors.

For the uninitiated, Turquoise Cottage has been a front runner in promoting Indi-rock bands, many of whom started their fledgling careers playing at the open mike nights. It's classic rock blend of music stretching from the 60's to the 80's launched a series of copycat retro bars and restaurants, but the original Retro Night has to be the one at Turquoise Cottage.

A natural offshoot of this strong blend of music and flavor pushed open new avenues for regulars in the form of Media Nights and Karaoke Nights.

The All new but yet not so different Turquoise Cottage and the Basant Lok Complex recreates the same ambiance that its regulars were used to .. red brick walls, large expanses of wood, a busy bar, rustic posters and retro music but with many new twists .. the wood has been burnished and burnt, the lines have been straightened just enough for people to experience a new space but not so much as to loose the feeling of home.

This element was brought in by Nikhil Segal , interior designer who shall be working very closely with the group in expanding the TC brand further across the country.

A Note on the Chef :

Turquoise Cottage from the orient also reintroduces Master Chef Khoka, who churns out speciality cuisine from the orient. Chef Khoka's experience is vast having worked at the Hyatt Regency Delhi, 5 years at the Meridien hotel in Abu Dabi, and the last ten years in the United States where he launched The Nanking- New Jersey, Ming - New Jersey, Indian Oasis - Long Island and Masala Wok - Long Island.

Sandeep aluwalia , food consultant having opened many oriental and speciality restarants in India and internationally brings in his expertise on food styling and cooking style to ensure the food at TC is as good as its name.
